Scenic Performance
Concert promoters traditionally think in categories such as "concert music" or "music theatre", "film music" or "multi-media experiment", "sacred" or "profane". But since John Cage's questioning work and the Fluxus generation's provocative stance these labels have become redundant. So, what happens when the stage is too small for the composer, or when an acoustically mobile but visually static situation suddenly starts to move?
